BiographyHistory

Yvonne Miels is a graduate of the Flinders University of South Australia, in Adelaide. She completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in English in 1984. After several years in the work force, Miels returned to Flinders and completed her Honours degree in English in 1992; her thesis was 'Other Dimensions: Grace and Place in Tim Winton's Fiction.' In 1996 she was awarded a Doctor of Philosophy for her thesis 'The Net Under the Tightrope: The Poetry and Prose of Amy Witting'. Miels has worked in the areas of arts administration and publishing, and has also worked for The University of Adelaide. She has tutored on a part-time basis at Flinders University.
