BiographyHistory

Daughter of John Keith Johnstone, Heather Cam came to Adelaide in 1977 from Canada on a postgraduate scholarship following a BA Hons (Queen's). She has an MA (Adelaide), MA (York), and PhD (Reading). Cam has held positions in the fields of reviewing and editing, including poetry reviewer for the Sydney Morning Herald (1988-1998) and Senior Editor for the publishers Hale & Iremonger and Penguin Books. She has read at a number of venues and was on the Poets' Union Poetry on Wheels Tour of northern NSW in 1994.
