Brian Caswell emigrated with his family to Australia when he was twelve. In 1975 he graduated in Arts and Education at the University of New South Wales Australia, after which he followed a distinguished career in the education system,teaching history, English and creative writing for 15 years.
He started writing at five years of age, however it was not until 1988, following careers in the music industry and education system, that he became a published author. A prolific writer, Caswell has achieved notable success with his novels for primary and secondary school students and is one of Australia's most popular writers for young adults. Caswell's work often deals with conflict and the abuse of power, invasion in its various forms, and triumph over adversity.
