BiographyHistory

Vivienne Plumb has lived in both Australia and New Zealand. She is a playwright, poet and fiction writer. In October 2002, Plumb was invited to read at the Ninth World Poetry Reading in Malaysia. She has held numerous fellowships and residencies, including the Buddle Findlay Sargeson Fellowship in Auckland in 2001, and residencies at the University of Iowa in 2004 and at Varuna NSW in 2006. In 2014, Plumb was the Ursula Bethall/Creative New Zealand Resident in Creative Writing at the University of Canterbury, Christchurch.
