While Carolin Window started her life in Sydney, she had a 'wanderlust' that has taken her to live in other places, including Cairns. From there she worked on boats in the Coral Sea and Great Barrier Reef region. In 1999 she had a residency in China under the Asialink programme. Later, she was based in Seattle.
