Dorothy Jones was a lecturer at the University of Wollongong 1971-1996, introducing comparative Australian/Canadian studies, and developing foundation subjects in Women's Studies. She has an MA (NZ) and an MA (Adelaide), a B.Litt.(Oxford) and a D.Litt (honoris causa, Wollongong). She has published widely in the area of postcolonial literature with a particular interest in women writers.
