BiographyHistory

Judy Forsyth is the daughter of a Jewish mother and an Afrikaans father. She was awarded a Social Science degree at Natal University in 1950. A Zionist and opponent of apartheid, she emigrated to Australia in 1961. Forsyth has been a peace activist for many years. She has been a social worker in the field of child welfare and adoption and in 1975 was a parliamentary candidate, standing for federal election on an anti-nuclear platform. She lives in Perth.
