BiographyHistory

After studying Psychology at the University of Warsaw, Ludwicka Amber trained and worked as a special education teacher. She has been a member of Polish Writers Abroad (London), the Poets Union of NSW in Sydney and has published in Australia, America, England and Poland. Her work has been read on radio in Poland and on Radio 2EA, Radio 3EA and Radio 3ZZZ and she has read in Polish and English in Sydney, Canberra and Melbourne. In 1994, for her collection Smile to God, Amber was awarded the International Order of Merit (Cambridge)and in 1997 she received an award from the Union of Polish Writers Abroad (London).
