BiographyHistory

Tony Taylor trained as a drama teacher at Melbourne Secondary Teachers' College (1966-68). He was a member of the Australian Performing Group (Melbourne) in the 1970s and associate head of acting at the National Institute of Dramatic Art, Sydney, in 1989 and 1990. Taylor won the Green Room Award in 1983 for his portrayal of 'Smike' in the Sydney Theatre Company's production of Nicholas Nickleby. In 1992 Taylor wrote the words and lyrics for the musical, Horrortorio, which was performed at the La Boite theatre in Brisbane.
