BiographyHistory

Dowrick was co-founder of the London Publishing House, The Women's Press, and was Fiction Publisher for Allen and Unwin in Australia. She has taught writing and has written on Greek mythology and on psychology, edited volumes of supernatural short stories and co-edited a book on the Gulf War. Dowrick published Creative Journal Writing: The Art and Heart of Reflection in 2007 and her exploration of the life and poetry of Rainer Maria Rilke, In the Company of Rilke, appeared in 2009.
