BiographyHistory

Dyan Blacklock took up the role of publisher at Omnibus Books in 1997. As well as the books listed in AustLit she has written a children's history of the ancient Olympic Games, Olympia: Warrior Athletes of Ancient Greece (2000). In 2005 Blacklock became the fifty-fourth recipient of the May Gibbs Children's Trust Fellowship and the first winner from Brisbane.

Blacklock has been convenor of the Australian Children's Publishing Committee, a member of the Australian Publishers' Association board and a founding member of the Australian Children's Literature Alliance board. In 2010 she was appointed to the Literature Board of the Australia Council for the Arts.
