As the daughter of a British army officer, Anne De Lisle spent her childhood travelling around South East Asia. She has lived in Singapore, Hong Kong, Penang and Brunei. She has worked as a teacher's aide for the royal family in Brunei, a wilderness tour guide in Borneo, and a model in London. She resides in Maryborough, Queensland (2009).
