BiographyHistory

McEwin grew up on a dairy farm in South Australia. The eldest great-grandchild of Douglas Mawson and Paquita Delprat, she graduated from the University of Adelaide with a PhD in Creative Writing and has lived in London.

McEwin's biography about her grandparents, An Antarctic Affair : A Story of Love and Survival by the Great-Granddaughter of Douglas and Paquita Mawson, was released in 2008.
