BiographyHistory

Manwel Cassar worked as a primary school teacher in Malta and later, in Australia, joined the Commonwealth Public Service. In Malta he was a member of the Society of the Maltese Language, and produced its weekly radio program. A co-founder of the Maltese Literary Society, and a member of the Maltese Academy, he was also the founder of the Maltese Literary Society of Australia in 1959. His work has been read on Radio 2EA and Radio 3EA.
