Noel Purdon grew up on the coast of New South Wales, and has travelled extensively to satisfy childhood passions for sailing and archaeology. A former Fellow of Trinity Hall, Cambridge, UK, and Head of Screen Studies at Flinders University, he has written, directed and acted for stage and screen and has been the film critic for The Adelaide Review.
