BiographyHistory

Jorge Galleguillos-Pozo, a Latin-American academic, was the winner of the Andres Bello Literary Contest in 1969 and became Director of the radio program Literary Hour in 1971. He was granted international refugee status by the United Nations and after coming to Australia undertook postgraduate studies in Sociology at Flinders University. He has contributed notably to Unity magazine and is also a writer of poetry. He has served also as Vice-President of the Multicultural Writers' Association of Australia.
