BiographyHistory

Born in Toronto, Canada, Ian McBryde has lived in Australia since the early 1970s. He travelled widely before settling in Melbourne. His father, Dr. W. A. E. McBryde, was a distinguished Canadian industrial chemist and professor. Ian McBryde's poetry has been widely published internationally and translated into Greek, Spanish and Japanese. He has performed his poetry in Canada, England, the USA and Australia. His collaboration with instrumentalist and composer Greg Riddell has led to the production of three CDs of the spoken word: Flank, The Still Company and Land's End.
