BiographyHistory

A Lance-Corporal during World War II, Clark's poetry had it's origins in campfire recitals to members of his battalion and subsequent publication in army broadsheets and journals. Eventually, Clark published 12 volumes of poetry, stories and plays. He also wrote for television, including scripts for some episodes of the the police drama Homicide in the 1970s.
