BiographyHistory

Wendy Broadbent grew up in South Australia and was placed in foster care between the ages of twelve and eighteen. As part of her year 12 studies at Coomandook Area School, Broadbent wrote 'Just a Kid', a small illustrated book about being a child in the foster care system. In March of 2013 it was published by the South Australian Government, Department for Education and Child Development. Families SA are distributing the book to all children entering the foster care system. Broadbent has studied at the University of South Australia towards a Bachelor of Social Work degree.
