'Benito Cao has lectured in Politics at the University of Adelaide. One of his main
areas of research is the intersection of politics and popular culture, particularly
in the formation and formulation of colonial, imperial and national identities. He has published in the fields of pedagogy, cultural studies, environmental politics, and Brazilian politics.
