Little is known about Madge Barlow, but she was probably not Australian. She had two novels published in book form, one of which, L'Australienne (1928) seems to have been published only in French. The other, The Cairn of the Badger (1909) has no Australian content, as far as is known. Several other novels by Barlow, some with a little Australian content, were serialized in newspapers.
