BiographyHistory

H. A. Willis grew up in Victoria but has lived in the Northern Territory, New Zealand and Tasmania before settling in Perth.

  • While living in New Zealand in the 1970s, Willis published Manhunt: The Story of Stanley Graham (Christchurch: Whitcoulls, 1979), about New Zealand mass murderer Stanley Graham and the twelve-day manhunt for him in 1941.

    In 1982, the book was filmed as Bad Blood. The film (a British-New Zealand co-production written by New Zealand script-writer Andrew Brown and directed by British director Mike Newell) starred Jack Thompson and Carol Burns.
