BiographyHistory

'Maithri Goonetilleke is a medical doctor and executive director of Possible Dreams International. He came to Australia from Sri Lanka with his parents at an early age. He studied medicine at the University of Melbourne and has worked throughout Australia as both a general medical and emergency registrar—running sole-doctor emergency departments in rural areas, and working in Indigenous communities and in correctional institutions.

In Swaziland, through his work with Possible Dreams International, he provided emergency medical relief to those living with HIV/AIDS, malnutrition, and extreme poverty, as well as providing sustainable development solutions such as access to clean water, agriculture, income generation, and housing.'
