BiographyHistory

Poet Janadele Stewart was the first female disc jockey, newsreader, and interviewer on Australian radio, working for 2NX Newcastle (NSW), 2MG Mudgee (NSW), 7QT Tasmania, 2WL, and Wave FM Wollongong (NSW).

She has acted both on stage at the Independent Theatre (North Sydney) and in radio dramas and commercials (2UE Sydney). She also assisted the establishment of, and presented the first on-air broadcast of, 2Vox FM Wollongong (NSW).

She has lived and written in, among other places, Gerringong, New South Wales.
