BiographyHistory

Theo Georgeson completed primary school and the first year of 'scholarhio' in Greece, and in 1920 emigrated to the USA with his father and brother. After coming to Australia he lived in small towns in rural New South Wales working in shops. In 1942 he returned to Sydney to open the Liberty Inn, becoming a successful businessman. In 1931/32, his poem, The Bell of the 25th March, won first prize in a To Ethniko Vema competition.

His novel 'Matomenes Kardies' ('Bloodstained Hearts') was serialised in Panellinios Kirykas in 1932.
