'Laurine has been writing fiction and non-fiction for children and young adults for over 20 years and has been published by Penguin, Pan Macmillan, Simon & Schuster, Doubleday and ABC Books. She reviewed books for ABC Radio in Sydney, Hobart and Canberra for ten years and also wrote reviews for the Primary English Teachers’ Association. Laurine won a Literature Board Scholarship to study scriptwriting at AFTRS and went on to write scripts for Hi5. Laurine has also worked as a journalist, editor, packager and publisher, and produced audio books for ABC Audio and Vision Australia. As a member of Literature Live!, Laurine presents creative writing workshops to schools via video conference in Australia and New Zealand as well as live workshops in primary and high schools. She became Writer-in-Residence at Birrong High School through the Authors in Schools project run by the ASA and has been rebooked by the school for 2013.
