BiographyHistory

Bert. Turnley, owner and publisher of the Morwell Advertiser from July 1888, announced the formation of a new partnership in the publication of the newsaper in the 29 September issue, 'I have much pleasure in announcing that I have admitted Mr. Walter H. A. O'Connor into partnership in the business hitherto conducted by me as proprietor of the "Morwell Advertiser," and in thanking the public of Morwell and districts for the very large measure of support accorded me in the past, trust that the new firm will merit a continuance and extension of the connection already established. The business will in future be conducted under the name and style of TURNLEY & O'CONNOR.'

Turnley & O'Connor also worked as a commercial printing firm.

The partnership was dissolved in May 1889. Both the Morwell Advertiser and the commercial printing business were continued by Bert Turnley as sole proprietor.
