Melbourne-based writer Nathan Farrugia attempted his first book at age ten, and at 16 embarked on his first novel. His road towards a literary career was halted at age 18, however, when he joined the Australian Army, serving as an infantry and specialising in reconnaissance. After returning to civilian life he studied film and television, later undertaking a course in professional writing and editing at RMIT. Since then he has been employed as a post-production video editor, colourist and copywriter, in addition to occasional work as a stuntman and actor (including a role in a comedy sketch TV series).
Farrugia's science fiction/techno thriller novel The Chimera Vector was published by Momentum Books in 2012. It has since been followed by The Seraphim Sequence (2013).
