Katie Valenta majored in English Literature and History at the University of
Queensland. In 2011 she won the Brisbane School of Arts Prize for high achievement in
English Literature, and in February 2012 she completed an internship at the Cape York
Institute. In 2012 Katie also completed an internship at the Parliament of Queensland,
under the direction of Queensland's Minister for Education.
