Victorian playwright and theatre worker Ian Nash was a foundation member of Melbourne Writers' Theatre. He completed an Arts degree at Melbourne University in 1963. He was awarded a Stanford University Writing Scholarship in 1968, the Kew Festival Short Story Prize in 1984 and received a Theatre Board Grant in 1987. During his student years he acted in plays at Melbourne University, and later became a teacher at RMIT University. His plays, short stories and reviews have appeared in many journals in Australia and around the world. His performed but unpublished plays include 'Sweeny's Supper Show' (1981), 'Lost Victoria' (1985), 'Burnout' (1987) and 'Little Eva' (date unknown).
