BiographyHistory

Tiffany Tsao grew up in Singapore and Indonesia and has lived in the UK and the United States. She has a PhD in English from UC-Berkeley. In 2012 Tao was a lecturer at the University of Newcastle and was living in Sydney.

In 2023, she won the US PEN Translation Prize for her translation of Budi Darma's People from Bloomington, published by Penguin Classics.
