Born in Sydney, Ronald Davison spent most of his younger years living at La Perouse with extended family before moving to Burragorang Valley, New South Wales, where his father worked on the construction of Warragamba Dam. Ronald had worked in various jobs and occupations, including in the Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Section. His brother is Raymond Davison.
