'Em. Scientia Professor Conal Condren was the Director of the Humanities Research Program, at UNSW. His research centres on early-modern political argument and rhetoric; and historiography and nature of political conceptualisation and word-use, especially metaphor and neologism in political argument. He is also working on Shakespeare and the history of political thought, and on eighteenth-century satire of science and philosophy. He is a Member of Churchill College and Clare Hall, Cambridge; a Fellow of the Academy of the Social Sciences in Australia; an Associate of The Erasmus Centre for Early Modern Studies, Erasmus University, Rotterdam; and Honorary Professor, The Centre for the History of European Discourses, University of Queensland.'
