'The Tank is a rollicking originla music theatre work that uses a montage of drama and monologue spiced with lyrical and joyous music to celebrate the idea of family and spirit of place.

'The bleak Tasmanian valley in which The Tank is set could be anywhere in eastern Australia. It is the story of Dora Carney and her journey from adolescence to old age as a wife and mother, expert in the art of making do.'

Kenneth Slessor's 'Five Bells' is a meditation on time and friendship. It takes its cue from the Arabian tale in which a man immerses his head in a bowl of magic water and envisions a grand epic tale. The poem is presented here through the medium of CD-ROM, affording the 'reader' the opportunity to experience it through layers of image and sound. The opening screen shows a writer's desk, from which readers can gather together the threads underlying Slessor's work. A mini-film and soundtrack give the 1939 poem a fresh contemporary expression. The CD-ROM also includes artwork from Smith's Weekly, readings of other Slessor poems, and a bibliography.

In particular it explored the reasons for the deep divide, at the time, between the contemporary Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal communities on Flinders Island in Bass Strait. A symbol of this divide was the dispute over land at Wybalenna, where the remaining tribal Aborigines from the Tasmanian mainland were incarcerated in the mid-19th Century and which is the site of over 120 Aboriginal graves. At the time of filming the Aboriginal community had lost a Land Rights claim to the site and were occupying it 'illegally' in protest.'
