BiographyHistory

Film and television director.

Born and raised in Perth, Sputore studied at Curtin University. He has worked widely in advertising, directing advertisements for Alcoholics Anonymous, the University of Western Australia, and St John Ambulance. In 2008, he directed the short film Legacy, to a script by Ron Elliott.

In May 2017, Sputore's feature-film debut, I Am Mother (originally called Mother, and with a script by American script-writer Michael Lloyd Green), was announced. Starring Rose Byrne, Hilary Swank, and Clara Rugaard, the film premiered at Sundance on 25 January 2019.
