BiographyHistory

As Lim Seok Ngin, Kitty Vivekananda's diverse cultural background is the focus of her prose piece Beyond Limbo. She was adopted as a baby by an Indian family who migrated to Australia and settled in Canberra. A speaker of fluent English and Tamil, she was awarded a Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Psychology and has worked as a practising psychologist in the Counselling and Health Unit at the University of Western Sydney. Her published work in this discipline, Picking up the Pieces (1987), was co-authored.
