BiographyHistory

'Greville Texidor was born in England [and] travelled extensively until her first marriage to a Spaniard in South America. She then lived in Spain during the period of the Civil War. In 1941 she emigrated to New Zealand with her second husband, Werner Droescher. [Texidor's] work met with considerable success in New Zealand. In 1948 she and her husband and daughter left New Zealand for Australia and then in 1953 travelled to Europe. [Texidor] remained in Europe 'til shortly before her death. She died in Australia in 1964.'
