BiographyHistory

Ameen Sahu-Khan was born and bred in Fiji. He obtained his B.Ed degree in Education and English from the University of the South Pacific and Dip TESL from Victoria University in New Zealand. He also has a Diploma in Business and Management Communication from UK. Sahu-Khan began his career as a primary school teacher, taught in a high school for four years as the Head of the English faculty and then taught English and Communication Studies at the Fiji Police Academy for 12 years before being appointed Head of the Centre for Professional Development at the Fiji Institute of Technology. He migrated to Australia in 1997 and a year later was appointed Senior Instructor and subsequently Head of the English Faculty at the Jefri Bolkiah College of Engineering in Brunei Darussalam. He returned to Australia in 2003 and has been a senior teacher at the Chester Hill Intensive English Centre in Sydney. Sahu-Khan is a Jaycess International Senator and is a distinguished public speaker.
