BiographyHistory

In the biographical note contributed to The Bulletin Story Book (1901), Rollett describes his association with Australia as follows: 'Came to Australia and went gold-mining and opal-hunting; was at Mount Browne in 1880-81. Knocked about Australia for three years; crossed to Maoriland, and have been there (with an interlude in Mildura) ever since - mostly engaged in journalism.'

Rollett was President of the New Zealand Literary and Historical Association in 1901. He also claims to have used the pseudonym F. R. and may be the author of works listed in AustLit under this name.
