BiographyHistory

A division of Martin Goodman's publishing firm Magazine Management Company, Humorama, Inc. published a line of digest-sized men's magazines, most of which featured 'girlie' cartoons by illustrators such as Bill Ward, Bill Wenzel, Dan DeCarlo and Jack Cole, along with black-and-white photos of pin-up models notably Bettie Page, Eve Meyer and stripper Lili St. Cyr) as well as actresses such as Joi Lansing, Tina Louise, Irish McCalla and Julie Newmar. The company's titles included: Jest, Humorama, Skyworlds, Instant Laughs, Romp and Eyeful of Fun.

Run by Abe Goodman, Humorama, Inc operated from the mid-1950s to the mid-1960s. Its titles were profitable for the company because the contents were inexpensive and production costs were minimal in comparison to the more complex full-size magazines published by the company.
