BiographyHistory

James Murray left Scotland in 1954 and travelled widely as a newspaper and television journalist. He settled in Sydney with his wife and six children and combined writing fiction with work as a film producer and script writer. Murray has also written books of corporate history, including The Woolworths Way : A Great Australian Success Story 1924-1999 (1999). In 1984 he scripted and produced the video documentary, Gold Silver and Bronze: Australia at the Olympics, and in 1994 five videos under the title, Olympic Glory: The Golden Years 1896-1972.
