Marminjiya Joy Nuggett is a Walmajarri woman whose family migrated from the Great Sandy Desert to the Kimberley's Fitzroy Valley in the 1960s. She has worked with organisations such as Marra Worra Worra Aboriginal Corporation and the Fitzroy Crossing Hospital as a liaison officer. She has also undertaken resource work for the Purluwarla Corporation and contributed advice on a number of desert-related projects.
