BiographyHistory

Cal Durrant has been Chair of Initial Teacher Education and lectured in English Curriculum and Media. His research is in the areas of English literacy and technology and media education. He was a member of the national team that delivered the $2.4 million Australian Government's Summer School for Teachers of English initiative in Geelong in January, 2008 and has been involved in a number of projects that have applied IT to various aspects of teaching and learning. Durrant has been on the Executive Council of the Australian Association for the Teaching of English (AATE) and serves on the Editorial Board of English in Australia.
