BiographyHistory

Edward Parry was born of a Cypriot mother and Welsh father and arrived in Australia before 1915. His work was published mainly in English with some in Greek. After completing high school, he went on to university, studying English and French Literature as well as Ancient Greek, Byzantine and Modern Greek Language and Literature. In Australia he gave private tutorials in English and French to Greek immigrants and ran a tax submission office. Between 1930 and 1940 he worked as an interpreter of Greek in the New South Wales courts. In his lifetime, his work was published exclusively in Panellenios Kerykas.
