BiographyHistory

Mate Alac was born in Draanice on the Adriatic coast of Dalmatia, Yugoslavia. His publications in English are translated from Serbo-Croatian. He received five years of primary education in Yugoslavia, and was employed in various jobs and fields before he became an independent miner. He passed his retirement in Western Australia and in 1992 was nominated for the WA Premier's Literary Award.
