French journalist Marie-Morgane Le Moel arrived in Australia as a foreign correspondent to report on economic, political, social and environmental issues including the 2007 Federal election. She settled in Sydney, New South Wales, and contributed as a freelance to Le Monde newspaper and Radio France Internationale. Her memoir Secrets of a Lazy French Cook (2012) records her experiences as a newcomer to Australia.
