BiographyHistory

H. G. B. Mason was a prospector and explorer of remote regions in Western Australia's north (c. 1885-1905). He discovered 'The Horse Shoe' gold deposits adjacent to the rich Peak Hill mine in the State's Murchison district. In 1909 he published an account of his travel experiences in Darkest West Australia, q.v.
