A short story author, Philip Dorter worked as an editor on the Bulletin, and served with the A.I.F. and R.A.A.F., from 1941-1946.

  • A short story appeared in the 'Youth' section of the August edition of The Australian Journal titled 'Pies and the Colonel'. It was attributed to P. Dorter (17), Swan Hotel, North Fremantle, W.A. The story won a 2nd prize. (p1190)
