Reena a Senior Reader in the Department of English, Christ Church College, Kanpur. A gold medallist she began her career in teaching in 1970, where she topped the list of successful candidates in the Lucknow University whilst doing her postgraduate in English. It was in 1972 when she joined Christ Church College, Kanpur University as a Lecturer, and was awarded her M. Phil. Degree in 1982 and her PhD in 1992.
