Sophie Alexander holds an Honours degree in history and a Masters degree in English. Her fields of interest include psychological trauma and the histories of colonialism, dispossession, and human rights. Alexander's Masters thesis examined the depiction of Indian independence and Partition in Meera Syal's novel Anita and Me.
